My Kutti DiarySweet & Cute September 18 GOBI MANCHURIANThings required:
ingredient 1
cauliflower - 1 whole
ginger - 2 tsp minced
garlic - 2 tsp minced
maida/ all purpose flour - 3 tbl sp
corn flour - 2 tbl sp
red chili powder - 1 tsp
pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
salt
soya sauce - 1 tsp
vinegar - 1 tsp
ingredient 2
red onions - 1
capsicum - 1
green chilies
soya sauce - 1 tsp
tomato ketchup - 4 tbls sp
salt
oil
coriander
chili sauce
spring onions - 1 small bunch
make a batter with the ingredient 1 dip the cauliflower florets and deep fry them in oil and keep it aside.
chop onions capsicum green chilies a half of the spring onions and fry them in little oil. once the onions turn golden brown add soya sauce tomato sauce chili sauce and salt and fry for 2 mins. then add the fried cauliflower florets and sprinkle the cut coriander leaves and the remaining spring onions. serve hot
May 30 PALAK TOFUINGREDIENTS:
spinach (palak) - 3 bunches / half a pack(family size pack)
green chillies - 2
finely cut onions - 3 tbl.sp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
split moong dal - 3 tbl.sp
dhaniya powder - 1 tbl.sp
chilli powder - 1 tbl.sp
sugar(optional) - 1 tsp
oil - 2 tbl.sp
firm tofu - approx 15 cubes
onions cut into big slivers - 2
tomatoes - 2
garlic - 5 cloves
garam masala - 1/2 tsp
fresh cream - 1 tbl.sp
Method :
wash and chop spinach finely. boil spinach along with moong dal and pressure cook for 5 mins. allow it to cool and strain the excess water and reserve the strained water. heat 1 tbl.sp of oil ,first add garlic, onion slivers and tomatoes in order and fry the same for 5 mins. grind the boiled palak along with the fried ingredients.heat the rest of the oil and add cumin seeds, once it splatters add cut green chillies and finely chopped onions for about 3 mins. add dhaniya powder and fry for a min and pour the ground mixture with enough salt (reserved water can be added to the gravy). allow to boil in medium heat. once the gravy gets thick add chilli powder and boil for another min . finally add the garam masala mixed with hot ghee. then add tofu( fried or fresh depending on the preference of your taste) . remove from fire. serve garnished with fresh cream. serve hot with finely cut onions and a slice of lemon. sprinkle some grated cheese if desired.
